Healthy Eating Posters

Healthy Eating Posters

The Healthy Eating Posters (of which there are five) are designed to promote healthy eating across the academy. An abstract approach of merging images of Fruit and Vegetables with subjects, body parts and activities. It promotes how student can benefit from these foods. The design is focussed on photo-manipulated Vegtables/Fruit/Imagery. Smart and snappy taglines backed up by key information. Facts and figures are included for the learning aspect. The five topics can relate healthy eating. Sport -see blueberry poster. Maths -see fig poster. Science – see Tomato poster. Food -see broccoli poster. Examinations -see satsuma poster. The posters are to be distributed to the other five academy schools with their own branding added.
AS with every design layout, I always try to include teaching and learning. I believe this separates great design from good design. The fact that it is related to the curriculum, which students are learning, means they can aid teaching as well acting as an inspiring mural for students.

The designs come in the wake that Ofsted is looking for academies to encourage a culture or ethos of exercise and healthy eating.

“As part of reaching this judgement,” says Harford, “our inspectors will look at the extent to which schools and other providers are successfully supporting pupils to gain knowledge of how to keep themselves healthy, including through exercising and healthy eating.” Inspectors will look for evidence of a culture or ethos of exercise and healthy eating throughout their entire inspection visit, in classrooms as well as in the school canteen. They will look at the food on offer and visit the canteen to see the atmosphere and culture in the dining space and the effect this has on pupils’ behaviour.” – Ofsted

TG Design is looking at bigger and better projects for the future. Not just desigsn situated in the classroom but outside the classroom too. This series of 5 posters bring a lot of colour to the school. They are unmissable when making your way to the school cafe. We have big things planned for Tudor Grange Academy Redditch regarding cafeteria design and also Tudor Grange Academy Worcester for the upcomming STEM week. TG Design is dedicated to the innovation of design within Teaching environments, and that makes us excited.
